Treat Your Babyji Right
Gold
Gold is fairly low-maintenance, which is exactly why we love it.
Still, remove your jewelry before swimming, working out, or using cleaning products. Chlorine and harsh chemicals can weaken gold over time.
To clean : warm water, mild soap, soft cloth. Dry well and you’re good to go.
Vermeil
Vermeil is 925 sterling silver coated with a thick layer of gold. It gives the look of gold, but appreciates a little extra care.
Avoid water, sweat, perfumes, lotions, chlorine, and cleaning products. These will wear down the gold layer faster.
Clean with a soft dry cloth only — no soaking, no chemical cleaners.
A small note : because vermeil is gold over silver, the gold layer will naturally fade with wear over time. That’s normal. Gentle wear and dry storage will keep it looking good longer.
Silver
Sterling silver likes to be worn. Surprisingly, wearing it often actually helps slow tarnish.
If it dulls, just polish it with a silver cloth or wash with mild soap and warm water. Dry it well afterwards.
Keep it dry when you can and avoid perfumes and lotions directly on the metal.
Gemstones
Gemstones are natural, which means each one has its own quirks.
Avoid hard knocks, extreme heat, and harsh chemicals. Clean gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, then dry with a cloth.
And try not to let stones rub against each other in storage, they can scratch.
Wear her often.
Treat her kindly.
Admire her always.
